License Terms

This License Agreement (“License”) governs your use of any template purchased from SeniorCareDesigner (“we,” “us,” “our”) through seniorcaredesigner.com (the “Site”). By purchasing a Product, you agree to the terms of this License in addition to our Terms and Conditions.

1. What You're Buying

When you purchase a template from SeniorCareDesigner, you are not purchasing the design itself — you are purchasing a license to use the design under the terms below. We retain full ownership and copyright of every template, whether Affordable or Premium tier, and whether purchased individually or as part of a Bundle.

2. Standard License — Single Facility Use

Every purchase includes a Standard License, which permits you to:

  • Use the template for one senior living community or facility location
  • Edit the template’s text, colors, and images in Canva to fit your branding
  • Print the design for use at your facility (flyers, brochures, postcards, signage, etc.)
  • Post the design digitally — on your website, social media, or email newsletters — on behalf of that one location
  • Use the design indefinitely, with no expiration date, for as long as you own the license

The Standard License does not permit multi-location use. See Section 3 if you operate more than one community.

3. Multi-Location / Group License

If your organization operates more than one senior living community, you must purchase a Multi-Location License, or one Standard License per location. Contact us at nel@seniorcaredesigner.com for group licensing rates if you manage a portfolio of communities.

Using a Standard License purchase across multiple locations without an upgraded license is a violation of this Agreement.

4. What You May NOT Do

Regardless of tier or license type, you may not:

  • Resell or redistribute the original template file, in whole or in part, whether edited or unedited
  • Sublicense the design to another facility, marketing agency, or third party not covered by your license
  • Claim authorship of the design or present it as your own original creative work for sale on another platform (Etsy, Creative Market, etc.)
  • Use the design to create a competing product, including derivative templates offered for sale or license to others
  • Use the design in any way that is unlawful, defamatory, discriminatory, or misleading about your facility’s services
  • Register the design, or any substantially similar derivative of it, as a trademark

5. Marketing Agencies and Freelancers

If you are a marketing agency, freelancer, or consultant purchasing on behalf of a senior living client:

  • You may use the template to produce final materials for that client’s single facility, under a Standard License
  • The license belongs to the paying account holder; if you plan to reuse the same template across multiple different clients, each client’s facility requires its own license

6. Modifications and Derivative Works

You are free to customize colors, text, photos, and layout elements within Canva to match your branding. These edits are considered a derivative use under your license — you do not gain ownership or resale rights over the underlying design as a result of customizing it.

7. Stock Photos and Fonts

Templates may include placeholder stock photography and fonts. Some stock images are licensed for use within the template only and may not be extracted and used separately outside of the design. Fonts included in templates are generally accessed through Canva’s font library and are subject to Canva’s own font licensing terms.

8. Term and Termination

This License remains in effect for as long as you comply with its terms. We reserve the right to revoke your license and require you to cease use of a Product if you violate this Agreement, without refund.

9. No Ownership Transfer

Purchasing a template does not transfer copyright, trademark, or any other intellectual property rights to you. All rights not expressly granted in this License are reserved by SeniorCareDesigner.

10. Changes to This License

We may update these License Terms from time to time. Changes will apply to new purchases made after the “Last Updated” date; licenses for prior purchases remain governed by the terms in effect at the time of purchase, unless a change is required for legal compliance.
